Citizen Advocate Online

Election Date: November 6, 2018

The Signal Mountain Town Council is composed of five members elected by Town voters. Three of the five members run for election every two years. Voters may vote for three candidates on the ballot. Of the three top vote-getters, two receive four-year terms and one (the third place finisher) receives a two-year term.

The goal was to provide voters with information that they can use when deciding how to cast their votes. To that end:

-All candidates were given equal opportunity to participate.

-This web page does not rank or rate the candidates. It simply lists the responses to each question.

-Candidates are neither endorsed nor opposed here.

-The candidates are listed here in the same order they will appear on the ballot.

-There is no preference provided to any candidate with regard to font type or size.

-Space provided was determined solely based upon the length of response from the candidate.

-Candidates were allowed to respond without word limits.

-The candidates' responses were not changed in any way--there was no editing of spelling errors, grammar, or paraphrasing to save space.

All of the questions are listed below with links to the candidates' responses. We hope you will find this information useful.
